How are you living?

I initially saw this video last month and for some reason keep forgetting to write about it, even though it's amazing.
Randy Pausch is a 46-year-old professor who has terminal pancreatic cancer. He was told back in August to expect three to six months of good health. He's married and has three preschool-age children. Despite this sad situation, he is in great shape physically and gave a remarkable lecture titled “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams.” You would not know by this man's demeanor that he is dying. It's about an hour and a half long, but I recommend taking the time to watch it, you'll be inspired.

The power of large groups of people...

...doing silly things. I saw this video from Improv Everywhere and it made my day. 826 people came together, pressed play on an mp3 at the same time, and had a blast following the instructions together. Watch:
Part I
Part II
I also just watched Sweet Land and found it to be an amazing movie. It's a nice, believable love story (read: not a “romantic comedy”, or even “chick flick”) about a German woman immigrating to rural Minnesota in the 1920s. It ranges from humorous, to adorable, to saddening (e.g. seeing some of the prejudices expressed by the characters) and altogether makes for a captivating story, I think. I highly recommend renting it, or I'll probably end up getting a copy soon and you can just borrow mine.
“Let us hope that we are all preceded in this world by a love story.”

New Perspectives
Wednesday 11.29.2006 01:00PM
I've been watching this video blog recently that's pretty clever and often hilarious, The Show with Ze Frank. Check out today's episode on “new perspectives”:
Also check out yesterday's one about Scrabble for a good laugh (warning: has some foul language). Then, if you have the time (about 20 minutes), I highly recommend watching his address to the TED Conference... it's quite fun.
Coming Soon
1) More photos
2) A slightly revised design of my site (v4.1). I'm really liking the changes and hopefully you will, too.
3) Something to put for #3 so this list looks just right. Ideas welcome.

Do a little research...

Tip for news anchors: do a little research on the people you have live on the air, or else this might happen to you:
That's what you get for basing a segment on a popular YouTube video. I mean, on their web site in the press section is an article with the subheading “Neistat brothers are wild about pranks, off-the-wall videos”.
