Ok, so apparently nobody is very interested in the 30-day trial topic.

This should be a bit entertaining, at least:

Last night for a Halloween party I went as Myspace. Simple costume: use a Sharpie to make a t-shirt that says “Gregor is in your extended network” on the front and “Sorry! an unexpected error has occurred.” on the back. Then carry around labels for people to write comments on and stick them to me.

Tonight it's “He-Man Woman Hater's Club” night at my place, we're watching V For Vendetta. Contact me if you want to come, guys.

Saturday I think I'm going to go see the independent spoof movie Dork of the Rings. Check out the trailer, it looks pretty funny. Let me know if you're interested in going as well. It's playing at 8:30pm on the 26th at IMAX. Guys and gals welcome for that one. :-]

First-time-in-history meme

There's a first-time-in-historythis-century event coming up in a little over 5 hours that you might not have been aware of.

At the tone, the time will be: 01:02:03 04/05/06.

Yep, at 1:02 (and 3 seconds!) the time will be “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6”. I never would have realized this on my own, so thanks goes to Wired for the heads up.

So I figured – what the heck, I'd try to start a silly meme (a practice, or idea that spreads, basically). Take a picture at or around 1:02:03 to commemorate this historic occasion, then upload it to flickr and tag it “thetimeis123456”. Then view the tag stream of images. Be creative with your picture(s).

Technically it will happen again, at 1:02 (and 3 seconds!) in the afternoon (if you don't use the 24 hour clock). So I guess you can get away with taking the picture then, if that works better for you.
